March 7, 2011- Baguio

Ferd and I went to Baguio today to visit some American friends that we have there. They have a children's home and their ministry is special to us in more than one way. You see, Ferd's cousin is legally insane. She keeps having babies with different men and then tries to kill the babies. So, this past time that she got pregnant and went into labor, the doctors lied and told her the baby died in delivery. Then, they called us. We had prayed and considered taking the baby ourselves, but it would be dangerous for the baby, because eventually, she would find out that we have him and it would be a huge problem. So, we needed to find a safe haven for this little new born baby. We are thankful for John and Kim who have a home for abandoned and orphaned kids. So, we placed the baby in their care and it was nice to go and visit with James ( that's his name). He is growing and doing so well and we are so thankful for the Lord's provision in this little guys life.

  1. Would it be helpful to share about this with family that may want to adopt? Let me know~Jen W.

  2. There are so many strings attached, but the owners of the orphange know more about that than I do. They have ties with other organizations that line up parents for them..so, I am not sure if you can just "adopt" him..there is alot of red tape and legal matters. But, I am so thankful that he is in a good Christian environment right now!!
