March 24, 2011- Tales from Visitation

Each and every week, we have our soul winning time with the Soul Winning Team..but then, Ferd and I also have our visitation day together, where I go out with him all day. Usually on Fridays. We meet alot of different people..have alot of dangerous situations..and see alot of things that people would have to see to believe. Today, we visited with some people where the 22 year old son was electricuted yesterday. His body laid there in the house. He was trying to fix some wiring there in their house. Just tragic. Also, we visited with another family who told us that their teacher at school was just shot and killed while riding a jeep. A man on a motorcycle pulled out a gun and just shot him and fled. The crime , tragedies , diseases, and living standards here are just an everyday thing that takes its toll on you.

But, today, something really good happened. We met Greg. Greg is a little 12 year old boy who has a muscle deteriorationg disease. He has gotten so bad that the drs say he won't make it much longer. He is all twisted up and can't even get up off the bed now. His spine is completely wrapped around to the other side of his stomach. He has never been to school, never walked, never played outside.. I just cried when I first saw him...until we started talking more.. He just puts a smile on my face! He has the mental capacity of about a 7 year old.

We got to know each other and his grandma said that I could come back each week and talk with him and tell him "Bible Stories" which I will try my best to adapt Salvation into a way that he can understand it. I want this boy to know Jesus..to be ready to meet the Lord, and I want to see him run and jump there in Heaven with a brand new body!!!
