January 10-11, 2011 - Family Time..Finally...

I am not kidding..since we landed back in November, we have been working non stop. I sometimes worry that I am pushing it too hard, but there is just so much to do. We had all the Christmas acitvities, the new church plant, discipleship, visitation, and so many things in between. We were exhausted! Ferd finally said that we were getting away as a family. Sean was thrilled! He LOVES getting away and always wants to go to our family's favorite place...SUBIC! We are creatures of habit and when we find something we like, we stick with it! We like Subic and it just makes us feel so relaxed. It is far enough away from the work that we can forget about it for the day, but its close enough that we dont have to travel too far. Subic's about 2-3 hours depending on traffic. It is so clean unlike here. Its so quiet..unlike here. It is just so wonderful. It is like a rain forest. Wild monkeys come up to you and let you feed them. Though, one got really mean and showed his fangs to me ...creepy. I learned to keep my distance!

Sean swam, we fed the crabs, and just chilled. It was a nice little day-cation!

January 9, 2011 - Sunday

Today was amazing... There are times when the Holy Spirit is just working so powerfully. He is using Ferd's words as he preaches to penetrate cold hearts. Wow, today was just indescribable. We had several come to the altar and just shed tears. One dear lady, Sally, accepted the Lord and we just held each other and hugged for the longest time... Thank You Lord for chosing me to be here, to see this, to be a part of this. Just a hillbilly from WV, yet You saw potential in me. Thank You Lord. I love these people so much...lead me, guide me and continue to use me

January 8,2011 - Saturday

Saturdays are my REALLY busy days. That is saying alot, because Mon-Fri I homeschool with Sean which takes 5-6 hours of my day and then I have regular mommy/wifey jobs to do. But weekdays can not even compare to my weekends. They are hard to discribe. I have chosen to be a hands on missionary wife and have loved the ride so far. It is very adventurous..though extremely hard work. I have enjoyed being Ferd's partner in crime (-; We make a great team and we hope that Sean will continue to grow in the Lord and make our full time work a trio.

One of the things I love the most about Saturdays is that I get to disciple with the younger ladies and new Christians.. Right now I am discipling with Joanna. She is growing so much in the Lord and I am too. It's funny how through discipling someone else, you in turn get blessed and learn more as well.

Video Memories Night 2010

All the LBC bunch got together and watched all the videos from the previous year..the CHristmas Program, Easter, baptisms, birthdays, etc. It was fun to laugh and carry on in fun fellowship. We all shared bags of pop corn..fun night

Dec. 29 -Christmas Communion

Tonight we celebrated and reflected on the meaning of CHristmas through Communion. Thank you ,Lord, for coming to save a wretch like me... Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth , would care to know my name, would care to feel my hurt.... I LOVE THAT SONG!!!

Dec. 25, 2010- Christmas

We had a nice day..even though it was Saturday and we had to prepare for church the next day. We did take the whole morning and just celebrate the birth of our Saviour together as a family.

I just praise the LORD..because He answered a BIG request. We had been praying that the shipment would arrive in time for Christmas because ALL of Sean's gifts were in those boxes. I did all my Christmas shopping in the US and was waiting for them to get here. Some of the boxes did arrive and it was a miracle because it was the boxes with Sean's gifts!!!! The other boxes are still not here, but at least we had the gifts!! Our Christmas was nice, and Sean is loving all his Legos!!!

December 23, 2010 - Avery's Dedication

Today I was invited to go and be a part of my neice's ( Ferd's sister's baby) dedication to the Lord. I was chosen to be one of the Ninangs, which is a big honor which basically means you are responsible for the child her whole life..Remember her for every holiday, give her Christmas, birthday gifts, shower her with attention and give her advice..just be there throughout her life.

Then, I ate YET again..I tell you , I have gained at least 5 pounds just this week with all the dinners and celebrations.

Christmas Feast

Well, we were the Guest of Honor again this year at the pig roast ...which means, yes, we get the head!!! YAY!!

Dec. 22, 2010- Christmas at LBC

Tonight was one of the funnest nights I have had since we have been back. It also was one of the most spiritually challenging, uplifting and encouraging nights I have had in a long time. Our first church, LBC, had their annual Christmas Program and Dinner.

Sean was in the Christmas Play so I have been very active watching their practices and getting involved. I had no idea that it would be so good and such a blessing to so many tonight. The Play was just amazing. Their title was " Declare God's Glory Among All People"..which shared the need to share the Gospel to all people, no matter where we go, what we do..it should always be a priority in our Christian lives.

Each actor was responsible to create their own costume and they are so resourceful. For folks that do not have much, they are so creative and they looked incredible tonight! I just cried and cried.

I led the Cantata again this year and they did flawlessly. The special numbers were all a blessing, and the Christmas message was so convicting. We had new souls to come forward and accept the Lord. WOW, what a Christmas gift!

After the service, we had our gift exchange. Last month, we exchanged names and had fun seeing what everyone got each other!
