It's hard to believe that little baby posted above is our Sean! Time went by so fast since we first brought him home from the hospital, and the joy that he has brought us is undescribable. I honestly don't know how I survived 23 years without him, he is just the best thing that ever happened to Ferd and I.
The joy of his birth could only be compared to the joy we had tonight. When Ferd got home from working on the house, we were all sitting and talking about our day. Then, we began talking about our first Communion service at the church the next night. Sean and I have been studying about Communion in our homeschool Bible class to make sure he knows what it means when he watches the church do it. He also knew that it was only for Christians and that he would only be watching.
I have been praying since Sean was born for him to accept Christ, but here recently, I have really been praying hard as Sean has a clear understanding and a VERY sensitive heart for the Lord.
While we were talking about the preparations of our service ( buying the juice, preparing the cups, etc)...Sean turns and tells both of us. "Mommy, Daddy, Im ready to be a Christian. I want Jesus in my heart."
We began to ask him what it meant, and he answered perfectly. He said he was ready for Jesus to wash his heart and save him. We told him that he could do it right there, but he said that he wanted to go to his room and do it. So, we all 3 went in his room and all knelt by his bed. Sean was so sincere and just so precious. Yes, I bawled like a baby, as it was the greatest joy a parent can feel, knowing their child is not only saved for all eternity, but now has a relationship with the greatest friend they will ever know.
He prayed the sinner's prayer and began to cry. We all hugged and rejoiced together! Praise the Lord!!!
