May 17-18, 2008, Super Typhoon Cosme Cat. #5

A Super typhoon hit our Provence like a killer in the night. No one was ready and everyone says that it was the worst they had seen in 50 years. Many were killed and everyone either had their home severely damaged or completely lost their homes. We were blessed to be on the "damaged" list. Our house is still standing, but we lost our roof and pretty much everything inside was destroyed our sucked out the windows. But I will never forget that Saturday night for as long as I live.It will haunt me for a long time. Sean and I are in a hotel 2 hours north up in Baguio which was not affected by the storm. The house is too dangerous to stay in. Ferd is there trying to make sense of it so that Sean and I can go back soon...We are so blessed to be alive!
