The past three days have been horrid. Tuesday night I came down with some severe chills. I immediately knew that something was not right. The next morning, I had a bad case of something terrible. I had a high fever of 103, chills ( in 100 degree weather), severe cramping, non stop diarrhea ( sorry to get so personal), throbbing headache, and so weak I couldnt even stand. Advil temporarily helped the fever, but it came right back. I bed rested with no improvement, in fact, by Wednesday I was worse. I began to feel as if I was going to pass out, so as soon as Ferd got home, I finally caved in and said I needed to go to the hospital. I was getting scared.
They kept me over night and took all kinds of test...thankfully, Dengue and Malaria came back negative, but I later found out I had a bad case of viral gastroenteritis. The doctor told me that I got it from contaminated water, which does not surprise me with all the dirty rain water everywhere in the house and out. ( I CANT wait till we get in our new place....please PRAY that God will provide that home soon...Im trying to be patient, but the current conditions I am in are taking their toll on me)
I am back home now and still resting. The fever and chills are gone, but the body pains and diarrhea are still attacking me. I am trying to stay hydrated, but my fear right now is dehrydration from the non stop trips to the CR( filipino term for Bathroom)
I would appreciate any prayers for a quick recovery.
