Sean starts school tomorrow... He is now in a Prep Class that specifically focuses on Tagalog language grammar, which is going to be beneficial to him and me as we study together. His class will run from 12:30-3:00 , so not too long.
We spent the day getting him some needed school items. I didnt have to buy much, as the shipment provided lots of crayons and pencils and notebooks. But there were some things that he had to have, that we didnt already have. He also needed new shoes, which he loved getting. His school uniform requires shiny black shoes, so he calls them his fancy shoes.
So, we went to the market and it was crowded and miserable as others were also wanting to get supplies. No matter what country you are in, school shopping is stressful and no fun. But, here in the Philippines, we have added stresses. The heat which leaves you soaked with sweat....my eyeballs sweat ( didnt even know that was possible...but it is) ...The smell of the fish, which are right next to the shoes!! The countless street children following you and hanging on you asking for money, the hundreds of beggars lined up looking at you with their hand out. Sean and I hand out food, never money. But it seems I never have enough!
