By Monday, the platelets had risen to 138,000!!! It was a day of celebrating and jubilee. Sean even stood up! It was the first time in 7 days that he had gotten out of bed. He was wobbly and couldnt stand long, but to see him up was one of tthe greatest moments I can think of.
His fever was low grade, around 100 all day, and by 6pm Monday night, it was 98!!! The Dengue was finally dying!!!!! Due to the large Dengue epidemic, and the demand for beds, hospital policy is if they are fever free for 24 hours, they will be released. We would have liked to have him stay there, but we trusted the doctors and we trusted the Lord to continue to heal Sean. So, we began to wait and see....would the fever stay away for 24 hours??? Were we finally out of the woods?
